.:. Submitted my choices .:.

I'll start of with yesterday's happening... I watched 'Happy Feet' with yuting at plaza sing after lunch at KFC(The new 'Fish and Chips' was quite ok except the serving was small; strangly, it's hot)... The movie was ok, causing quite a lot of laughters...

I submitted my option form for Secondary School today.

My choices are:

Nanyang Girls' High School,
Cedar Girls' Secondary School,
CHIJ St. Nicholas Girls' School,
Anderson Secondary School,
Ang Mo Kio Secondary School, and last but not lest,
Prepyterian High School,

respectively.

I'm betting that I'll get into my first 2 choices.

At around 10 this morning, the clerk called to remind us to pass up our form as soon as possible as the date-line is tomorrow. My, they are hard working, considering the fact that quite a few people haven't handed up there form...

.:. Vivocity is... .:.

We initially went to Bugis to the temple at around 1.30 and ended up coming home at 8.30... So tiring... The rain didn't help... Anyway, after praying, we walked to Little India, took a mrt to Harbour Front, and proceded to Vivocity.

My first impression was,'Wow, the crowd is really huge!' It's big, overwhelming, blah, blah, blah... As I walked on, I realised that most of the shops are quite unsuitable to kids like me... No small gift shops for teenagers to linger about, everything unaffordable, and so on... The only thong I bought was an ice-cream... So pathetic... At least my sis bought a jacket(actually, it's from Giant).

I don't think Vivocity will become another hanging out place for teenagers like J8 or Plaza Sing... Even the cheapest chocolate will cost 2 meals(The most expensive is a 3-digit figure). A few hours later after wandering about aimlessly, we took the mrt to chinatown. B then, it was near 6... My feet were already worn out by then...

I had thought that we would go straight home but we ended up spending a good few hours there... I interrupted the normal cycle of practising the piano daily today so I might have to make up for it tmr...

I won't say much but I'm really satisfied with my score. 265. It was quite unexpected so I was really surprized... Now, I'm figuring out which school to go...

.:. PSLE results out tomorrow .:.

I've been busy with the TA workshop(SOTA) for the past 2 days... I've been waking up at 6.30 in the morning to take a one hour MRT ride before changing to bus. It becomes a very tiring ride when you are squeezed from side to side for one hour... I won't comment much but I met quite a few nice friends...

I'm having rehearsal for a coming concert and my pieces are still extremely horrendous... Sigh... I don't know what to do when I start making a fool of myself... I won't say I'm depress because of it but I'm sort of worried that I cannot play it well enough by the concert...

The PSLE results will be out by tomorrow... I don't know what to expect so I've not prepared myself for it... I don't think I'll freak out tomorrow while waitiing for the results anyway... I'm not expecting too much as I don't want to disappoint myself and so on but I'm keeping my fingers crossed...

.:. Holiday... .:.

Finally it has arrived... The days when I can finally wake up at 9 have started... I'm so grateful to get a break from school, though it might be a bit boring... Surprisingly, I still can't get over the fact that I'm not going to be a student from tgps soon... After 4 years in that school and 6 years known as a tgps student, I can't bear to leave it...

I'll use one simple word to describe the whole of yesterday before I write in details... HOT!!! It was so hot and humid yesterday that my clothes were wet... Furthermore, I was wearing the Malay traditional clothes, the baju kurong... Long sleeves, long dress; it was a nightmare...

Other than that, I was quite please with yesterday while I was in school... I arrived in school before 12pma nd went to 1B classroom, the place to meet for people helping with the NE gallery... We joked around for about half an hour before going to the NE gallery for rehearsal...

Our instructions were:
Stand beside your panel;
Don't talk to your friends;
Practise your speech and last but not least
No moving around.

For the first 5 minutes, we were quite obedient... After that, we did exactly the opposite... We were no beside our panel, we talked and talked and talked, we used our cards for fanning instead of reading and we were all over the area... I personally was chatting and playing with yan lin, shayn and dong wan... We were 'enjoying' ourselves in the heat when Miss Lim came to test us...

After that, at about 1, I went to the hall to wait for the prize giving to start... All the Pri 6 pupils and prize winners were there... Approximately, 1 hour, the guest-of-honour arrived... Speeches were given before the prize winners were given their prize... After getting mine, I speeded off along with yan lin... When we reached the NE gallery, every one was singing the song, My Island Home, real loud... Extremely NICE...

The teachers attempted to stop us but the we actually only become serious when the VIPs were near us... Even then, I was gesturing with shayn, who panic and said PAP was formed in 1959 later on, and yan lin... I think I did quite well... After the VIPs went off, the Pri 6 pupils arrived... Some boys really tried to take my picture and I scurried around trying to avoid them... I admitted defeat in the end anyway...

I went back to 1B to have my refreshments, the usual fishcake burger... There, I rested about half an hour... I helped to take pictures hefore finally going home at 4.30... I'm really pleased with my $20 popular voucher as I'm thinking of buying a few CDs...

I think that's all for today... I'm a bit like an old granny, aren't I?

.:. Last day of school!!! .:.

Finally the last day of school has arrived! I can finally sleep late into the morning... Still, I won't deny this I'll miss all my friends and the school... I'm so happy that after so many years of having school vouchers for the 'prize giving', they gave us 'popular' voucher... It makes sense though, that they only give it to P6 prize winners as we don't need school vouchers... I'll be getting about $20.

During the first 2 hours in school, I sat in the hall, waiting to receive my prize... There was no chairs so my back felt like breaking... Tomorrow will not be so bad as there are only about 25 people who will receive prize before me, comparing to more than 50 today... There will also be chairs... The only bad thing will be that I need to wear traditional costumes... It'll be real stuffy in that dress...

After recess, we watched about half an hour of X-men 2 before going to the hall to help out with the arrangement of seatings in the hall for the younger ones... After that we dragged out lots of chairs and arraanged them into rows for tomorrow's ceremony... Before going for lunch, we took photos as a class the last time...

I went for rehearsal for the NE gallery before rushing home to change for music class...( I forget to mention that I'm taking over my friend with the NE gallery so I'm not going to touch the PDA tomorrow.) Unfortunately, I couldn't catch a bus so it ended with me using my handphone to call my music teacher and cancel the classes... It was usually on Sat but it was changed to today
as I expected myself to be free in the afternoons this whole week, which turn out to be exactly opposite as I've been staying back everyday... So I'm back to waking up early this Sat...

P.S. I know I'm not suppose to say this but I so terribly glad that the last conversational mother tongue lesson was on yesterday... I didn't learnt much from all the copying of Malay words...

.:. Specs is uncomfortable .:.

SIGHHHHHHH....... Why do my spectacles have to be so uncomfortable? It's too tight so the back of my ear was sore... I'm back to wearing my old specs while I find time to get it loosen...

I spent a terribly boring morning in school before recess waiting for the inter-class basketball tournament to end... I ended up shuttling between the boys and girls match with another friend to kill time... After recess, we watched a movie, Robots... I've watched it before in the plane on the way to Shanghai... My neck was so sore due to watching the movie in the hall from the screen so far above my head... Furthermore, it was so stuffy in the middle of the hall with no fan around...

I was supposed to stay back and help Miss Li after school but ended up helping with the NE gallery... Um, I only helped 2 groups to prepare their speech... Quite an achievment for a clueless person appearing the first time at the preparations, right?

Yesterday, 2 sec schools came to promote themselves... The activities by Bowen Secondary School was really high-tech, with remote controls for us and all...

This year, our prize giving ceremony's split into 2 parts, Thur and Fri... Usually, we would only have it on Friday... According to the letters the school gave out, it's to put aside time for the official opening of the NE gallery on Friday... I'm QUITE please that I'm not asked to be an usher or a performer... However, I'm to help out with the PDA... (Have I mentioned it before?)

P.S. I think that our school is a bit short on the amount of classrooms available... Their building extra classrooms where there is unoccupied space, not forgetting the lockers outside the rooms, which are never used...

.:. Finished 3 anime series!!! .:.

Yeah!!!!!!!! I can finally say that i've at least finished at least 1 anime series... I've finished Fullmetal Alchemist, D.N. Angel and Nanoha... All in this month... I've been watching fma and dn angel for about a year... I've also seen the movie but the ending's so sad... I'm so proud of myself for completing them... Lol... I'm thinking of starting to watch another anime...

I'm most likely going to collect my new spectacles tomorrow afternoon... It's gonna be a bright red one... I dread the ride there and back...

.:. Inter-class skipping competition .:.

We had inter-class skipping competition today... I won't comment much on the skipping skills of the contestants... Let's just say most of them need a lot of improvment to stop boring me to sleep... The prize was not the usual trophy... Instead, they gave a water bottle to the runner-up of each event and a clip-on-the-book-torch which is useful if you want to read in bed secretly... What do you think about the change?

After recess, we had a 45 minutes prize presentation of which I receive 2 certificates and a badge... Actually, I didn't go on stage 3 times... Mr Fadzil said he won't be asking the Pri 6 prefects to help, but I am asked to help with the PDA by another teacher so it's somewhat the same...

Yesterday, I had a leadership camp in school from 8 to 5 so I didn't go for the mass run... I didn't even stepped into my classroom... For the mass run, our class was quite pathetic but at least we had 2 people in the top 10...

I've been asked to help in the office thrice this month alone... It's quite nice actually as you get to enjoy the air-con... Still, I'll give them a miss if I'm asked to do a survey count again...

'Don't ask what the school has done for you, ask what you can do for the school'

That's what Mrs Aimi will say if we start sighing before going to help...

.:. Health Screening .:.

We had a unnerving morning before recess while we waited for our turn to be injected... After having our height(I've grown taller by 2 cm!!!) and weight taken, all the girls were told to wait outside the AVA room while all the boys went in to have their injections... By the time the first boy came out, we were bored enough to be playing 'Scrabble' in the corridor...

I was quite unprepared when the first needle jabbed into my hand so i had goosepimples all over my body and my hair stood up... The second jab was not so bad... One of the boys had to take 4 injections instead of 2 because his hand became bruised during the first 2 tries of the second jab... Phwee... How lucky I am... Another girl was ghostly pale after the injections... But the rest of the class was alright and nobody cried...

Many of my friends arms were sore but mine wasn't that bad so I quite please... Ok, enough of injections... Let's move on to fun things...

Yesterday, we played 'Line Freeze Tag' and 'Dogs & Bones'... The former was more chaotic as there were lots of 'It'(catchers) ... I was sent sprawling twice, I first time after being pushed and losing my footing, and the second time, after trying to 'unfreeze' some people and being unable to brake... The second game was more organised, although I won't say quiet...

I was called out 4 times... I was lucky the first round; my opponent fell... The second time, I hit him, I think rather hard... The next two turns were in groups... It's a great change after sitting in the classroom for so many days playing 'hangman'...

P.S. We had conversational malay today... I'm hopeless at it... I think I'll fail if there's a test... Sigh...

.:. Death Note .:.

I watched Death Note(the movie) yesterday along with yuting at plaza singapura... Um, I basically like the whole movie... The thing is, I was deeply shocked by what Raito did in order to get into the investigation team... Furthermore, Raito didn't seemed to be the genius he was in the manga... I prefer the Raito in the manga... Not to forget, the character of Naomi in the movie and manga is totally different... Her behaviour for the last part, when she kidnapped Shiori under the influence of the death note, can be can be excused but other than that, I feel that she was really too implusive...

Ok... I'm finished giving my opinion on the movie...

The bus which I took to go to my music lesson broke down so I was late for lesson... My performance pieces still sounds horrible... Haixx...

P.S. Another friend of mine, Winata, smsed me yesterday while I was in the cinema theatre... He said bye before going back to indonesia... I won't be able to see him any time soon again...
